Horses may be excused from classes at the discretion of the judge or horse show management.

Results must be submitted in PDF format. Any results that are sent late or in any other format will be charged a $50 fee for first offense, $100 for second, third offense will result in revocation of sanctioning.

To fill a division, entry must be eligible for that division.

Horse show management is prohibited from changing horse names/back numbers to fill divisions. MHJA will reject results if duplicate names or numbers of horses are discovered to have been used.

MHJA will sanction two shows per day. There is no longer a tier system.
Sanctioning can be submitted no earlier than September 15th for the following competition year.
No dates will be sanctioned without payment.

Shows can be a combination of rated and unrated sanctions.
Despite an increase in costs, the horse show still made a profit of almost $400. MHJA has about $21,000 in the bank, with a buffer of $8,000 to $9,000.
